The Florida Breweries Report – November 2019
Growth in Last Twelve Months (LTM) Taxpaid Sales for Florida breweries was essentially flat in November 2019.
Monthly Highlights
- Four new Florida breweries in November 2019: Cultured Collective (Orange Park), Crave & Copper by The Florida Brewery (Auburndale), Genetic Brewing (Lake Mary), and Grayton Beer Brewpub (Grayton Beach).
- No Florida brewery upgraded from a brewpub license (CMBP) to a production brewery license (CMB) in November 2019. Breweries with a CMB license can start fill growlers, sell bottled or canned products for consumption off premises, and sell to licensed distributors. Where a brewery upgrades its license, the tables below denote the CMBP license with * and the CMB license with ^.
- In November 2019, the total number of licensed breweries stood at 386. Of those, 360 breweries reported taxpaid sales in October.
- Month-to-month taxpaid sales increased by 0.95% in November 2019. Total taxpaid sales during the rolling last-twelve-months (LTM) rose by 0.08%. Compared to November 2018, LTM taxpaid sales were up by 7.34% in November 2019.
- For reporting breweries, the average taxpaid sales per brewery in November 2019 was 26.01 barrels, a monthly increase of .017 barrels per brewery.
- In November 2019, Florida breweries’ taxpaid sales accounted for 0.83% of all beer sales in Florida (8.3 out of 1,000 beers sold).
